AWIEF announces registration for 2023 conference

Africa Women’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) has announced the opening of registration for its annual convention and awards.

This year marks the 9th edition of the prestigious AWIEF event, and will be held on 9th and 10th November 2023 at the Kigali Convention Center (KCC), Kigali, Rwanda.

AWIEF has become Africa’s leading entrepreneurship, innovation and technology platform, bringing together over 1,300 entrepreneurs and startups, industry experts, thought leaders, policy drivers, and change-makers from government, corporate and development sectors for impactful discussion and dialogue on innovative ideas is bringing together. Initiatives, strategies and solutions to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, digitisation, intra-Africa trade, investment, food security, climate action and sustainability and ultimately, economic and social transformation in Africa.

Last year’s speakers included Her Excellency Dr. Monique Nsanjabaganwa, Vice President, African Union Commission, Her Excellency Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation, Solomon Quinor, Vice President, Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization, African Development Bank (AfDB). ), Jackie Jones, Director, Gender Equality Division, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Izabela Milewska, Digital Skills Global Leader, Amazon Web Services (AWS).

AWIEF 2023 will be a completely in-person event, returning to its full glory from 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to go virtual and hybrid.

All AWIEF 2023 participants attending the program from outside Rwanda are eligible for a visa on arrival without prior application. Citizens of African Union, Commonwealth and La Francophonie member states can obtain a free visa on arrival for visits of up to 30 days.
