A statement issued on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said that the high-level Dakar 2 summit hosted by Senegalese President Macky Sall and the Chair of the African Union was held under the theme “Feeding Africa”. going. The conference, which seeks to create favorable conditions towards achieving food security in Africa, was convened jointly by the government of Senegal and the African Development Bank.

There will also be additional meetings to discuss agreements on the distribution of food and agricultural products in some countries, including Nigeria.

Africa accounts for 249 million, or a third of the world’s 828 million hungry people, the summit is expected to be attended by African heads of state and government, ministers of finance and agriculture, as well as a number of global development partners. Commit to ending hunger in Africa by 2030.
