Egypt’s Foreign Minister to receive US House Speaker Wednesday

CAIRO – 2 May 2023: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will receive the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, at the ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday.
Shoukri received the envoy of the President of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan on Tuesday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid wrote on Twitter, “Foreign Minister receives Dafallah Haj Ali, Ambassador of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
Al-Haj Ali thanked the government and people of Egypt for the warm and cordial reception they have given to Sudanese citizens fleeing the flames of war.
