Fake disease? Police investigate suspicious Facebook ad after 12 passengers went missing from plane during emergency landing

Spanish police have launched an investigation into an incident in which 12 passengers were seen fleeing a Turkish-bound plane that made an emergency landing in Mallorca. Officials are trying to ascertain whether the incident was carried out or not.

Spanish officials suspect they may have fallen victim to a clever ploy by a group of migrants trying to make their way into Spain. The country’s police have launched an investigation into possible immigration law violations when 23 passengers attempted to evade an Air Arabia flight en route from Morocco to Turkey as it made an emergency landing on the Spanish island of Mallorca on Friday.

The plane was forced to alight after one of the passengers on board was diagnosed with a diabetic coma and asked for medical attention. When he was taken to the hospital, it was suddenly discovered that the man was quite alive and well.

The other passengers apparently took advantage of this opportunity to flee the plane. A video circulating on social media, which has been confirmed by police, shows about a dozen people fleeing the cabin of the plane and running across the tarmac.

Eleven passengers were detained by law enforcement. Another 12 people disappeared without a trace along with the person who pretended to be ill in the hospital. Man who faked his illness was discharged from hospital and detained on suspicion “encouraging immigration and violating Spanish immigration law.”

Police believe that the whole incident is the result of this “Improvement and Opportunity” until they stumbled upon a Facebook ad recruiting people for a scheme that closely resembled Friday’s incident.

The author of the post, which has since been deleted, sought out some 40 people for “Plan” Including an illness excuse to force an emergency plane to land on its way to Spain.
