French policeman injured after being stabbed in Cannes – Interior Minister

There was a stabbing incident in France’s Cannes in which the attacker injured a police officer, the interior minister said. The attacker was “neutralized” by other officers.

A BFM source in the police told the outlet that a man armed with a knife opened the door of a police vehicle parked in front of the police station and stabbed one of the three officers inside. As he went around the car, one officer shot him and tried to attack another target.

The attacker allegedly said something about “Think of me,” The source said. The officer who was stabbed was reportedly partially protected by his ballistic vest.
