Somalia: 3 Killed in African Union Helicopter Crash | Sada Elbalad

A helicopter of the African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia has crashed, killing three people and injuring eight others.

The mission said the helicopter was carrying officers from the Somali National Army (SNA) on a joint training mission when it crashed at the Baledogal airstrip in the Lower Shabelle region on Saturday.

The airstrip is also used by the US military forces. The African Union mission said on Sunday that an investigation into the cause of the accident was ongoing.

The mission reported that the injured were taken to the Somali capital, mogadishuFor treatment.
