Diplomats of East and Southern African countries visited All India Institute of Ayurveda in Delhi on September 26. Lesotho High Commissioner Thabang Linus Kholumo thanked India for playing a big role to make Africa part of G21.Thabang Linus Kholumo said, “We really appreciate that India played a different role in Africa to be included in G21. The inclusion in G20 makes us the 21st member of it. We are very happy and we want to thank India. India played a role in making Africa a part of the great nations of the world. Our inclusion in G21 is going to see Africa promoted.”All India Institute of Ayurveda Director, Dr Tanuja Manoj Nesari said, “On the background of the inclusion of Africa in G21 countries and with the encouragement and insistence of Aayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, from the special division that looks after the collaboration of the African countries especially south and the eastern part of the African countries, they facilitated the visit of the High Commissioner, his excellency, ambassadors and the Councillors to showcase our traditional wisdom that is Ayurveda… The ambassadors of the countries that visited us including Namibia, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa and other countries were really impressed with the evidence-based institutional mechanism that has been created through the Ministry of Aayush to Ayurveda education research and health care.”
